Dear Parents,
Welcome to Term 3! I am extremely proud of the progress students are making in all areas of the curriculum especially reading and writing. Thank you for all your support at home too.
It’s going to be a very busy and exciting term, as we have our “100 Days of School” celebration coming up on 7th August, which the students have been enthusiastically counting down. They have also started the gymnastics program which will run for 7 weeks until 3rd September. Here is also a brief outline of our focus in the different curriculum areas during this term.
Reading
- focussing on text and fluency when reading
- reading on to the end of the sentence, then rereading to decode unknown text

- Provide simple instructions visually and/or in sentence form.
Our handwriting focus will be on:
- correct pencil grip

I look forward to another successful and rewarding term.
